Ariel & Brandon | Engagement in the Comfort of Home

Well well well...boy do I have some eye candy for you! Today was supposed to be just a little sneak peek but I couldn't resist posting a few extra photos today of Ariel & Brandon's E-Session. A little background here. Ariel & Brandon came to see me when searching for a photographer for their upcoming very unique backyard wedding. At the end of the meeting they both looked at each other quizzically and asked "We're not really an 'Engagement Session' couple...are we?" And all 3 of us agreed that they really were not....and then inspiration hit me. Immediately upon meeting Ariel & Brandon it was clear that they had an intimate chemistry with each other. I could see that on the top of their list of "favorite days" would be just the 2 of them, snuggled up on the couch, listening to music and hanging out. So I said to them, "Although....I bet you are the type of couple that would cook breakfast together, snuggle in bed and hang out listening to music with each other in your own home." And our inspiration was born! Little did I know that Ariel & Brandon built their own townhome, while being a part of every step of the process, selecting each detail on their own and really turning their new home into a true labor of love. And let me tell you folks...it's gorgeous. It's incredible, spacious, beautiful, contemporary...it's a dream! So not only do we get to spend their entire wedding day with them but we also had the lovely opportunity to spend an entire day in their home really getting to know them through our lenses.

There is nothing more intimate than photographing a couple in their own home. It allows us to dig down deep and take in their intimate space where they talk, love, fight, laugh, cry and just....be. Makes me a happy girl...
